Strength and Conditioning

What you're not being told:
It’s actually quite simple, conditioner, conditions. And the effects are immediate.
Men’s Health said it best: “Each hair is covered in tiny cells which look a bit like fish scales. Damage causes these to stand out which makes the hair look dull, rough and out of condition. Conditioners work by smoothing down these scales so your hair looks smooth and shiny again.”
The result is less static and fewer split ends, making it easier to style. But it’s not just about looks. Whereas shampoo opens the hair’s cuticle, conditioner seals it back up—locking nutrients in and pollutants out...achieving:
- Strengthening the hair shaft
- Preventing breakage, split ends, and even hair loss
How often?
The general recommendation is a few times per week, but you can use it daily…especially if your hair is thick and dry or damaged. Condition less often if you have naturally greasy, fine hair.
The most common misconception about shampoo and conditioner is that you only need one or the other.
Guys, your hair needs BOTH!
If you shampoo three or four days a week, begin conditioning on off days. But remember, shampoo tends to strip moisture... so the more you lather up, the more conditioning your hair and scalp should receive.
